Who we are

These Terms govern your use of ProFindr (“ProFindr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including profindr.com, ProFindr search results, sponsored placements, free business profile pages, account tools, optional paid services, lead and call features, and related services.

By using ProFindr, creating an account, submitting information, contacting a business through ProFindr, purchasing a paid service, or displaying ProFindr materials, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Using ProFindr

ProFindr helps people discover local service businesses, business websites, sponsored options, and related service information. You agree to use the service lawfully and not to interfere with the site, scrape or overload our systems, submit misleading information, impersonate another person or business, bypass access controls, or attempt to access systems you are not authorized to use.

Search results and recommendations may change based on query, location, availability of data, paid placements, testing, quality signals, and product changes. We may update, suspend, remove, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Marketplace and search-result disclaimer

ProFindr is a search, directory, advertising, and profile platform. We do not provide plumbing, roofing, HVAC, electrical, cleaning, repair, remodeling, or other local services ourselves. We do not employ the businesses shown in search results, sponsored results, call cards, advertisements, or Verified profiles, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a third-party business.

You are responsible for evaluating any business before hiring it, including checking licenses, insurance, permits, qualifications, reviews, pricing, availability, and contract terms. ProFindr does not guarantee that any business is licensed, insured, available, suitable, safe, or legally permitted to perform work in your area.

Sponsored results, calls, and advertiser placements

Some search results, call cards, links, rankings, or profile placements may be paid, sponsored, promoted, or monetized. ProFindr may receive compensation when users click a result, call a phone number, submit a lead form, view sponsored content, or interact with an advertising partner.

Calls or lead requests may route to third-party advertisers, call centers, networks, or service providers. Sponsored placement does not mean ProFindr guarantees, endorses, licenses, insures, supervises, or is responsible for the advertiser or the advertiser’s services.

Consumer inquiries and consent to be contacted

If you submit a form, request a callback, click a call button, send a message, or otherwise ask to be connected with a business, you authorize ProFindr and the relevant business or advertising partner to use the information you provide to respond to your request. This may include calls, texts, emails, or other communications about the requested service.

If a form includes phone-consent language, your submission records that consent. Consent is not a condition of buying goods or services from any business. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask the business to stop contacting you, and you can contact ProFindr through our contact page for privacy or lead-routing questions.

Business profiles and submitted content

Business owners and representatives are responsible for keeping all submitted information accurate, including business name, contact details, service areas, address, hours, services, photos, logos, licenses, insurance, certifications, pricing claims, descriptions, and any other statements shown on or through the service.

By submitting content to ProFindr, you represent that you have the rights needed to submit and display that content and that it does not infringe, mislead, violate law, or violate another party’s rights. You grant ProFindr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, resize, format, and promote that content in connection with ProFindr, ProFindr search results, business profiles, account tools, emails, ads, and related services.

We may edit, reject, suspend, hide, or remove profile content that appears inaccurate, deceptive, unsafe, illegal, spammy, infringing, low quality, or inconsistent with the service.

Free business profiles, ownership review, and badges

ProFindr business profiles are free. Creating an account or profile does not guarantee publication, ranking, traffic, or a badge. Before a profile can be published or included in search, the owner must verify the account email, provide required business information, and pass ProFindr’s manual quality, authorization, and safety review.

You may manage only businesses and locations you are authorized to represent. ProFindr may validate submitted information against official websites, public records, and independently published contact information, and may contact the business before approval.

Any ProFindr badge or special designation is separate from profile ownership and publication. Badges are controlled ProFindr materials, may be awarded or removed at our discretion, and may be displayed only in formats and locations we authorize. Payment does not purchase a badge or determine whether a free profile is published.

Optional paid services, legacy billing, cancellations, and refunds

ProFindr may offer advertising, sponsored placement, or other paid services separately from free business profiles. Legacy subscriptions continue to renew on their existing billing interval until canceled. By purchasing a paid service, you authorize ProFindr and our payment processor to charge the payment method on file for applicable fees, taxes, and permitted adjustments.

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. ProFindr does not store full card numbers. You are responsible for keeping payment and billing information current.

You may cancel a paid service through available account or billing-portal options or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund charges already incurred. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, paid-service fees are non-refundable and paid features may remain active through the end of the then-current billing period. Ending a paid service does not by itself unpublish a free profile.

No lead, ranking, or business-results guarantee

ProFindr does not guarantee any number of impressions, calls, clicks, messages, leads, customers, rankings, placements, revenue, or business results. Search visibility, sponsored placement availability, profile traffic, and lead volume can vary by market, category, query, budget, competition, data quality, user behavior, and product changes.

Intellectual property and trademark rights

ProFindr™, the ProFindr logo, the Verified badge, the design and presentation of the service, and related names, graphics, software, and content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by trademark, copyright, and other intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You may not copy, modify, frame, scrape, reproduce, sell, or exploit ProFindr content, search-result presentation, data, software, logos, badges, or brand assets except as expressly permitted by us in writing or through product features we provide.

You may not use “ProFindr,” “ProFindr Verified,” or any confusingly similar name, designation, domain, social handle, app name, ad keyword, logo, badge, or branding for a competing or related service; to imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, verification, or approval; or in a way that could confuse users about the source of a service. Unauthorized use may violate trademark, unfair-competition, false-advertising, and other laws.

Account security and termination

You are responsible for maintaining access to your email, account, payment method, and business information. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or profile has been accessed without authorization.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to accounts, profiles, paid services, lead features, badges, or other parts of the service if we believe there has been fraud, inaccurate information, legal risk, security risk, misuse, infringement, or violation of these Terms. Nonpayment may affect the applicable paid service but does not by itself determine publication of a free profile.

Third-party services and links

ProFindr may link to or integrate with third-party websites, advertisers, payment processors, mapping providers, analytics providers, call or lead partners, and other services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, pricing, communications, or services. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProFindr disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and suitability of any third-party business.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProFindr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business opportunities, service interruptions, third-party acts, contractor work, calls, leads, search rankings, sponsored placements, or business outcomes.

Indemnification

If you are a business, advertiser, profile owner, or account holder, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProFindr from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your submitted content, business services, customer communications, misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another party’s rights.

Governing law and brand enforcement

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to us in our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits our right to seek immediate injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property, trademarks, brand, systems, users, or service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when the latest version took effect. Continued use of ProFindr after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
